It is inherent in being human. A proposed foundation focused on dignity, inclusion, care, and everyday community life.
The world moves quickly. Too quickly.
And in its speed, it often abandons the people who cannot keep pace: the elderly, the neurodivergent, the intellectually disabled, the vulnerable, the forgotten.
We reject the idea that these lives belong hidden behind walls, separated from streets, cafés, art, work, laughter, and ordinary human connection.
They belong with us.
The Laila & Faisal Foundation was born from memory, love, and refusal.
Refusal to accept cruelty as normal.
Refusal to accept isolation as care.
Refusal to accept that people should disappear from public life because they move differently through the world.
We envision communities where:
We do not believe in building hidden institutions detached from society.
We believe in integrated spaces — cafés, workshops, studios, gardens, community tables, vocational labs, and cultural environments where people exist together naturally.
LFF exists to restore dignity where systems removed it.
To create environments where people are not reduced to diagnoses, age, limitations, or economic output.
To build structures rooted in gentleness without sacrificing ambition.
To prove that compassion and excellence can coexist.
The Foundation carries the names Laila and Faisal because every future we build stands on the shoulders of those who protected us before we understood protection ourselves.
This is not simply philanthropy.
It is social architecture.
A commitment to building a world softer than the one we inherited.
And this is only the beginning.

The proposed foundation will focus on safe, welcoming services that help elderly and disabled people remain connected, supported, and included.

Safe, accessible places where elderly and disabled people can meet others, take part in activities, and remain connected to their communities.

Patient, respectful training and supported work opportunities suited to each person’s needs, interests, and abilities.
Social Activities
Regular programs that reduce isolation, encourage friendships, and bring different generations and abilities together.
Supported Living
Residences integrated into communities — not campuses at the edge of town. Grocery stores within walking distance. Neighbors who know your name.
Education & Training
Programs that equip caregivers, families, and communities to understand neurodivergence, aging, and disability as part of ordinary human variation.
Cultural Events
Exhibitions, readings, screenings, and gatherings that are accessible by design — because access is not an accommodation. It is architecture.
Every future we build stands on the shoulders of Laila and Faisal.
Those who protected us before we understood protection ourselves. This foundation carries their names because the care we give forward was first given to us — and we refuse to let that tenderness be the exception.
